DENSON AND RISELY TO DELIVER BOOKS
President Rob Denson will personally be delivering this semester's shipment of books in one of his own semis. Denson's generous donation came after DMACC's first Pages of Promise collection last semester. Denson's students from the Ankeny and Boone campuses collected more than 2000 books in just one semester. Because of President Denson's support, Pages of Promise will be able to send a record number of books this semester.
Making the voyage with Denson will be Phi Theta Kappa Executive Director Rod Risely. Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society whose members at DMACC have expanded Pages of Promise collections to all of the community colleges in Iowa. Risely will be coming to Iowa for the January 7th trip from Ames to Cedar Falls to St. Paul.
Denson and Risely's journey will begin on Saturday January 6th in Ames, Iowa. From there, the two will drive to Cedar Falls to pick up the northern Iowan collection of books and then head to St. Paul, Minnesota. To help with this exciting trip, please contact Pages of Promise Director Kevin Geiken at kgeiken@gmail.com
