DEREK ROBISON, Executive Director
A sophomore in elementary education at Iowa State University, Derek is the current Philanthropy Chair of Acacia Fraternity; an active member of Leadership Iowa University, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Alternative Spring Breaks; a regular volunteer at Food at First and several other community service programs in the Ames community; as well as a student assistant in the Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching. Derek currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and, as the acting Executive Director of Pages of Promise, is responsible for the planning and execution of the campus collection, public relations, volunteer coordination, and the organization and shipment of donated books.
KEEGAN KAUTZKY, Chairman
Having witnessed the economic and educational challenges facing students in southern Africa firsthand while on a research internship in Malawi, Keegan returned to Iowa State University and founded Pages of Promise. Subsequently living in India, Washington DC and South Africa, he has eight years of experience working in child protection and advocacy, economic and public health research, human rights monitoring, youth empowerment and education. Keegan returned to the United States in 2008 to lead the national expansion of the World Food Prize Foundation's educational programs. Keegan currently serves as the Chairman of the Pages of Promise Board of Directors.
MATT ENGLAND
A senior in aerospace engineering at Iowa State University, Matt is a Council Member on the Ames City Council and the current President of Acacia Fraternity. He is also involved with the University Honors Program, Cardinal Key and Order of Omega, and has been the Assistant Business Manager of VEISHEA and involved with Dance Marathon and several human service projects. Matt currently serves as a Member of the Pages of Promise Board of Directors.
MICHAEL WEBER
A senior in family finance, housing and policy at Iowa State University, Michael served as the former President of Acacia Fraternity, as well as the Business Manager of VEISHEA and College of Human Sciences GSB Senator. Michael currently serves as a member of the Pages of Promise Board of Directors.
CRAIG BUSKE
Craig served as the first Executive Director of Pages of Promise at Iowa State University from 2004-2007. While a student at Iowa State University, he served as a Council Member on the Ames City Council and was an active member of Acacia Fraternity, the Government of the Student Body, Model United Nations and ACLU. Craig subsequently attended the University of Minnesota and completed his Juris Doctorate in 2010. He now lives in Minneapolis and is an attorney with the Law Office of David L. Schulman PLLC. Craig is currently a member of the Board of Directors, and serves as the organization's legal counsel.
