BOOK DONATION GUIDELINES

We accept almost any primary through college level textbook, educational reading books, children’s storybooks, and dictionaries. All subjects are accepted EXCEPT American History and Civics, music and foreign language books (Spanish, French, German, etc.). 

Before donating, please consider the following book requirements:

Physical Condition: Books should be new or slightly used, complete, clean and in good shape.  Please do not donate books that are missing pages, unbound or poorly bound, dirty or in poor condition.

Age: Please do not donate old books if the age has resulted in their content being out-of-date or unacceptable:

• Atlases can not be more than five years old since earlier editions may not include recent historical changes and relevant up-to-date information.
• Encyclopedias should be the most current edition. As an encyclopedia is reprinted approximately every eight years, the information

Content: Please do not donate books that promote views of a particular religion or could be used for evangelizing purposes. Academic texts that offer a comparative study of religion or the history of various religions are accepted. 

Magazines: National Geographic magazines are the only magazines we can accept for donation.
